The 2008-2009 Yahoo Fantasy Basketball season came to an end last night for "Durants in my pants" (solid team name, I know).  And I should be proud of where I finished- fighting to make the last spot in the championship.  Out of ten teams I hovered in the 8th-10th place spots for a majority of the season.  After a few solid pickups- Rafer Alston, Eric Gordon, Kevin Love- my team finally became what I had expected it to become to come (does that make sense?).  I fought my way from 9th to 6th, squeaking my way into the playoffs by 1 game.  I proceeded to advance to the second round following a convincing win over the 3rd seeded team.  Then the cookie crumbled.  The second round was extremely close all week- I would be winning 5-4, then he would be winning 5-4, then I'd go up 7-2 then he'd come back and be winning 6-3.  Either way you look at it, we knew it was coming down to the last night, possibly to one category.  And that is exactly what happened- I was ousted, losing by one three pointer and two blocks.  I lost 5-4, so the whole season came down to one three pointer, (technically two, since had we tied, he would have won based on the tie breaker, and since we already know how my tie-break luck goes, I would have been very pissed had it gone to that).

Anyways- I made the mistake of being the commissioner of this league and as commish, I am responsible for holding onto the buy-in money.  I had all this cash just sitting in my room so I decided to spend it- I obviously wrote myself IOU notes so I knew exactly how much I had spent.  So now, not only am I out of the playoffs, but I have to go to my personal bank account and take out over $500 to pay back the debts.  Luckily, I'm not paying myself back with interest because then it would be even more money.  I hate fantasy basketball.  Now on to fantasy baseball. Did you read about my team yet?
